I sit here typing for some strange reason even though every inch of me has told me to go to bed and await the awesomely 'anonymous' call from my boyfriend. My neck, shoulders and arms ache, probably from being spun a thousand times. My feet no longer hurt and that is a very good thing.
So... last night was pretty wild. But how would I know? I don't even remember all of it. :s
Liz and I went for salsa. For some reason unknown it seemed like the whole class was filled with complete beginner guys who were pretty clueless as to what they were meant to be doing. No fun. I ended up leading about 4 or 5 lost souls, but then the woman kept telling the girls not to lead or the guys will never learn, so in the end I had to resume my ragdoll-like role and let them muck it up while they muttered apologies. I can't wait for a new routine next week.
After that, Cameron, Liz and I returned once again to our comfortable corner in The Lesbian Bar (not it's proper name) which we found last week and had some drinks. No girls hit on us this time and Cameron, who as usual started a conversation with some girl (asking her how she picks up women); decided not to practice his moves on a drunk chick who kept telling him that he was not gay and that she could "see it in his soul". Hilarious.
Anyway... we left too late and trams had stopped running so we call caught a cab and crashed at Liz's. That's where things changed. It is never a good idea to give someone with incredibly lousy wine tolerance two glasses of the stuff, especially not after 3 vodka mixes. Needless to say, I got totally smashed and I blame Liz (yes, I blame you! *grin*). Cameron got drunk too and Liz - amazingly, but not surprisingly - stayed sober .
Ugghhh... I forgot how awful getting that drunk felt. There are parts of the night I don't even remember. Like the part where Cameron was apparently teaching us both salsa moves. And then the part when he picked Liz up by her feet and she started yelling really loudly until he dumped her on the sofa. And the security called and told her to keep it down.... apparently. Though I do remember him trying to teach me how to tie a tie. I couldn't get it. I guess you shouldn't try to teach me things when I'm that drunk.
Cameron didn't remember half of it either. During lunch Liz was filling us both in on every detail of the night and we were looking at her like she was crazy... We decided that we haven't totally dismissed the theory that she could be lying to us. Haha.
So yeah... that was last night. I think I'm off alcohol for at least a week or so. Bleh.
Today Liz and I spent the afternoon relaxing and lying in the sun at Carlton gardens. Then we went for dinner, met Ryan and then to the Night Market at uni to watch Sling's dance. Now I'm finally at home and tired and talking to Mj on msn. Will probably curl up with hot tea and Jane Eyre.
And tomorrow the real work begins. :(
