Soundwave was amazing. It was huge! I've never seen so many people come together for music before. And I guess there was something for everyone. Plain White Ts for the teenybopper girls and growling music for the hardcore people.
I have to say Dom was right. The Offspring were the best band that night for me and were by far the most popular. Motion City Soundtrack was good too. They're melodic - I can't help but like them.
Dom wanted to kill all the screaming 12 year olds when PWTs were playing. I was greatly amused.
And I got Dom on a ride! One of those upside down spinney ones! But sadly he felt a bit sick afterwards. But it was so worth it!

These days I've been kind of getting the feeling that I've got a lot to be thankful for. Thankful for how things have been going so far in Australia. Thankful for Dom's visit and the times we've been having. Just thankful for everything really. :)

Anyway, today was awesome! We finally woke early enough to go to St. Kilda beach. It was warm and sunny and we walked around for a bit. We ended up walking into this music cafe (wonderful concept btw...) where there was a band in the back playing a gig. They were so good we asked about their Cd even though we had only heard half a song. We listened to their Cd for a bit and decided to buy it. They're called the Woodenelves. We wanted to go to Brunswick to watch their gig but were a little too tired in the end.

I took Dom to Greasy Joe's and he really liked it. He liked the music, the food, the milkshakes and the funny random comments on the menu. It was a good meal.

After that we went to the beach and found a small jetty where we started taking pictures. They're nice, some of them. Put them up on facebook already.

So yeah. Can't believe the holiday is over. I guess I'm in a way looking forward to going back to school. I can see this term already flashing by in a blur with classes and essays and readings. And BANG - It'll be over. Maybe life is designed to be passes this way.
