They lay there together under the warm blankets, wide-eyed, watching the sky light up as the lightning tore through the flawless midnight blue and counting the seconds till the thunder broke. And there they lay silent, as if struck by something more than the beauty. Struck by Man's strange and yet innate fascination with death.
