Had such a good time with the
Beastie in town yesterday. We went for gym and for some reason it was so much more fun then all the other times I've been. Still can't get over the "hop-punch-punch". Really liked that. We also went window shopping and bought a pair of really nice beastie shoes and we made a really loooong list of items to save up for.
Mine are:
1. The beastie bag [either/or]
2. Burkin sandals
3. Ripcurl top(s)
4. The omgiwantitnow watch [which I know I'll never get]
5. The square phone [6111 I think]
6. Jeans
Eeeps! That's a hell of a lot of saving up to do.
Then as usual, I met Dad at tanglin mall for dinner.
Chickenrice - rice = chicken
Yay.
When we got home we watched Original Sin. I love that movie. No, not because it's R-rated or because its cast are the sexiest people alive, but because it's a great story. It's not a love story, but it's a story about love. About the destruction love can bring as well as its power to heal. It's about betrayal, about belonging, about mistakes and forgiveness.
I guess one of the main reasons why I like the movie is because it's honest. Love isn't always about falling in love with the right person, realizing that you can't have him/her, meeting the climax of the story after which everything goes right and you both live happily ever after. Sometimes it is like that, but not always. Sometimes love is about blood, sweat, tears, confusion, confusion and a whole fucking lot of confusion.
maybe I should just stay single...
Interesting news for the Beastie: In late June this year [after IB!] Dad's going to Europe to present some kind of talk in Germany.. i think. At that time Mom will still be in China, tying up the loose ends from her show. So it'll just be Max and I for 3 whole weeks. You're welcome to stay as long as your beastly heart desires! :)
